So when I heard this book was coming out, I was very excited. To me it seems like everything Prince said in the “unreleased” mega-fan favorite “Old Friends 4 Sale.” And because of this I have been quite selective about what I have purchased (although I used my library to read what I refused to buy i.e. For the rest of us, don't bother with this volume. It mostly works and probably helps push a memoir along that doesn't have as much going on as I'd probably like. none the less what an honour. It's a bold approach and it makes more sense than you'd think, but then there's the drug/sex/addict voice of Day's that ALSO shows up, sometimes the three narrators showing up all at once conversing with each other. While this biography is genuine, and I felt that Morris injected his true emotions into the book. The value of the book, published not to capitalize on Prince’s death but instead three and a half years after the event, proves one thing: death is not powerful enough to kill friendship, or love. Last night (April 21), CBS aired Let’s Go Crazy: The Grammy Salute to Prince. I listened to this (unfortunately it wasn't narrated by Morris; I would have loved to hear him read it, complete with his squawky laugh) so it took me a while to figure out the other person "talking" was Prince's spirit. I had no problem with that. You’re never too old to fan girl and don’t let society tell you other wise. I really enjoyed this book. The three narrator approach actually works very well. After reading this book, I feel like I know him a little bit better and I know Prince a little bit better. “i wasn’t asked this time but hopefully in the future. It’s that long letter you wish you wrote to that person you lost, where you didn’t get to completely clear the air, or, if you had cleared the air, just to say goodbye. I even read the ebook preview sent by Amazon to read while I waited for the book to arrive. I love how Morr. It was quite honest and open, and it helped to clear some of the questions I had about Morris and Prince's relationship through the years. He’s still got it and put on one hell of a show but I was equally as entertained by the middle aged women getting their entire lives in the aisle way. The format is essentially 206 pages of monologue by Morris Day with imaginary interjected comments by the dead entertainer Prince, all of which were dreamed up by the authors after Prince's death.
